Marquam Talks: Oregon National Primate Research CenterView All Events
Dr. Nancy Haigwood, director of the Oregon National Primate Research Center, will take viewers on a tour of the game-changing science taking place at OHSU’s West Campus, and she will describe how openness about research can help to enhance science literacy.
Virtual Event is hosted by OHSU and the Marquam Hill Steering Committee
As one of seven National Primate Research Centers supported by the National Institutes of Health, the Oregon National Primate Research Center at OHSU is focused on helping people across generations live longer, healthier lives through scientific breakthroughs. ONPRC’s translational research asks key questions about infectious diseases, aging, metabolic diseases like diabetes, neurological functions, reproductive challenges and many others.
OHSU and the Marquam Hill Steering Committee, an OHSU community stewardship group, has re-imagined its Marquam Hill Lectures, launched in 1981. Marquam Talks are virtual talks showcasing the research and clinical advances of OHSU faculty on timely topics. All talks will end with a question and answer period with the speaker.
The live-stream link will be posted for each talk. Email your questions to firstname.lastname@example.org in advance for a question and answer session immediately following the presentation, or Tweet us at #MarquamTalks.
